Karen Strating Biography
When established or emerging leaders are searching for smart approaches to people or organizational challenges, Karen brings clarity and structure to the process. Her focus on practical, client-centered solutions help leaders solve tough business and people problems.
Prior to starting her own coaching and consulting business, Karen was a managing consultant at Stromberg Consulting, a boutique firm located in New York City. She also spent six years working at Microsoft Corporation as an organizational consultant. As an adjunct faculty member at Duke CE, Karen has designed, facilitated and coached in numerous leadership development programs focusing on subjects such as leading changing, influencing for impact, collaboration and developing high performing teams.
Karen has an M.Ed in adult education and human resources development and is a graduate of the Advanced OD/HRM program at Columbia University and Fielding University’s Evidence Based Coaching Program (ICF Certified PCC). She has had the privilege of working with the following clients: BNP Paribas, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Duracell, American Express, Scotiabank, Scholastic Inc, CVS Health and Cisco.
